David Hancox

David Hancox has spent his entire life working outdoors. Spending childhood summers with his Dad in the family vegetable garden, mowing neighborhood lawns, and then building a career around the landscape industry he loves.
Originally from Natick, Massachusetts and now living in Alton Bay, New Hampshire, David recently relocated with his wife to be closer to the natural beauty of Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounding mountains. David enjoys boating, fishing, hiking and traveling with his wife and family.
Beyond his professional work, David remains deeply connected to his community, volunteering at the local food bank in Alton Bay and previously serving with the Norfolk,MA Lions Club.
David maintains strong ties with the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA where he earned his degree in Landscape Architecture. He continues to support students and alumni who seek his guidance in the field.


Career in Landscape Design
David's passion for landscaping began early—before even entering high school, he started his first company, Hancox Lawn Care. Biking through West Natick neighborhoods on a 4 wheel bicycle and trailer (designed and built with his father) carrying all of the equipment needed to mow neighborhood lawns. That entrepreneurial start, which paid for college, eventually grew to a lifelong career in landscape architecture, landscape construction, and design.
David's most recent career move began in 2013 with the founding of Landscape Oasis in Norfolk, MA. David, President of the company which serves the entire Greater Boston Area. In 2025 Landscape Oasis expanded with a second office into the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, The office is at the southern most point of Lake Winnipesaukee in Alton Bay, NH.
